Shelved Wishes by the Artists for the Artists
Raine wanted to reach out and find other artists that are hidden from the art scene both online and real life. Because it is formed by artists, the project also aims to help each other to elevate their craft and create connections.
Unorthodox Workshop
The workshop was also divided to two key subjects, how to create curiosities and how to illustrate using felt tip pens. I enjoyed the 1st half when our students wrote another student’s story.
Wabi Sabi
Wabi-sabi is underplayed and modest, the kind of quiet, undeclared beauty that waits patiently to be discovered. Its seeing the beauty of the cracks tarnished by age and time. The concept is believing that everything is transient, nothing is fixed, no staple and nothing is complete and with this comes the cracks, the rust, the chipping and the withering.
Showalter’s Moon
All men would love to fly with no modern contraption attached to their body. Imagine if I could fly. I’ll go up the Tibetan mountains and reach Everest, skipping all the behemoth ice falls. If I could fly, I’ll visit Mars, maybe Blackbeard was hiding there and we’ll fight for territorial rights of Mars.
Curiosity Doctor
Aiding the sickly and wobbly creatures, the Curiosity Doctor goes to abandoned paths, buildings and borders to check on Curiosities that might need healing.
Curiosity Emporium
Somewhere in this space-time continuum is a patch of my own world. Roofed by the blue space of flying blips and of the red baron. Critters of imaginary roam free and light illuminated by the far town, beyond the sea.
